Photo Class Update
Last night was my final class with Nicole Hill and I must say I'm sad it's over. It was worth every penny including gas and travel time to attend. I hope to take some of her weekend workshops in the future. However, since the class is over, I thought it might be fun to post some of my assignments.

Stephanie Loves Fall
Last month Stephanie and I went on a photo field trip to test a lens I am borrowing from Jen. We had fun. Especially once the polaroid cool cam was pulled out. You should see our fridge! Lots of quality shots similar to the one below this. Don't worry that we were trying for a cute photo and got this ;) I LOVE IT!!

Happy Haloween!
Made these cookies again last night and thought I would put the recipe up here since I have had so many requests for it. :)
Iced Pumpkin Cookies
makes 3 1/2 dozen
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
chocolate chips
Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg, pumpkin, and vanilla. Mix. Stir in dry ingredients until well mixed. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove, cool, then drizzle with icing.
Icing
2 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon melted butter
3 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
In addition to the recipe I wanted to mention that I listed some of my twisted nursery rhyme prints on etsy. My friend Katie convinced me that trying to get some money off my doodles was worth a shot. I think it would be fun to frame three and hang them over a child's bed. So we will see if anyone is interested.

All Things Pumpkin
Thought you would all enjoy some October inspiration:
Looking at all of these spooky treats makes me wish I had a grade school party to cook for. I made some yummy iced pumpkin cookies the other day (the recipe I may post later) and remembered how much I love pumpkin everything. If this is the same pumpkin cheesecake Jeanelle made a few years ago then I will probably have to make it as well. I remember it being delicious!
p.s. the Pumpkin Pie Blizzards are back at Dairy Queen. I highly recommend them :)

Adrian and the Tramp
Thursday I found myself with an hour to kill before work and decided to go to the train station. Preface for Mom: Don't worry! It was light, I had my cell phone, was in a semi busy area, and definitly could have swung hard and taken someone out with my tripod if need be. With that said, Union Station has some pretty cool old trains and my camera and I enjoyed a self guided tour. I guess all my camera clicking was a tad nosier than I realized though, because as I was focusing, a hobo came stumbling out of a near by train. I don't think he noticed me as he rubbed his eyes and proceeded to relieve himself on the tracks. I then decided it was about time to leave for work.
