A Midsummer Mingle
On the 21st I was able to attend a magical party with friends. It was thrown by a group of extremely talented women: Brittany of The House that Lars Built, Merrilee of Mer Mag, Merete of One More Mushroom, Sarah of Sarah Jane Studios, Melanie and Alma of Caravan Shoppe, and Eva of Sycamore Street Press.
The event was held at a lust-worthy estate in Provo and decorated to the nines. Guests were asked to dress in "summer whites" and we were given a floral crown upon arriving. We were then invited to wander the grounds and mingle with other creatives as well as vendors who continued to contribute to the swag bags everyone received. There was delicious food, maypole dancers, crafts, a live band, and raffle giveways - which Elissa, her sister Saundra and I all somehow managed to win!
The event happened to coincided with Elissa's birthday and so we pretended like it was an amazing birthday party thrown just for her. Haha!
I feel like my images don't come close to illustrating how beautiful and detailed the night was. Truly epic. Thanks ladies!

Floral Potluck
A couple of weeks ago I threw a floral potluck. I invited a few friends and asked them all to bring a flower bunch to share. I kept things simple with a fruit pizza bar and just a few special touches (such as a rose chandelier hung from the gazebo). Elissa from Thread of Scarlet graciously agreed to teach everyone some basics before setting us free to make hand-tied bouquets. It was fun to see what everyone came up with and a good time was had by all. I think this may have to be an annual party!
