During spring semester I had the wonderful opportunity of working with Salt Lake Community College's Culinary Institute.

Each time I would arrive to set up just as the students were "plating up." Once I had my lights and background set, I would join them in the kitchen where the four teams were putting the finishing touches on their dishes. They would then line their food up on a giant table in the middle where their professor could evaluate their work. As he walked by choosing the best presentations and portions to sample, I followed pulling the dishes I thought would photograph best.

The whole process was a great learning experience for me and really, very fun. Still, I would have to say my favorite part was definitely getting to sample the food. It was fabulous! Thank you again to Ricco and the kind students at SLCC!
p.s. I updated my flickr with some portraits assignments that I never got around to sharing on here

Those look so good! I love your portraits on flickr! I got a kick out of the blanket salesman - Trey liked that one too!
