The Life and Times of a TV Dinner
In Photo Vision this week my assignment was to tell this TV dinner’s story. Others in the class focused on the life and times of: a single rose, a peace sign, a twig, a straw, etc. and then determined how they wanted to present the final prints. As I documented, I certainly got lots of weird looks. I am assuming this was due to me shivering with a camera in the freezer section. However, all the questioning was remedied simply by stating that I am a photography student. I love the fact that being an art student automatically turns behavior normally deemed “socially unacceptable,” into accepted and even encouraged behavior. Can you imagine what the shoppers would have thought if I did not have my student status as an excuse?

90% sure
After working as a graphic designer for over a year I have finally come to grips with the fact that although it's fun to create corporate identities, I love photography much more than design. I have been thinking about this for a while and after some research have decided to go back to school for a second degree. This last week was my 1st enrolled at Salt Lake Community College , where they surprisingly have the best photo program in the state. Their lab and studio area are HUGE! At least four or five times the size of BYU-I's and they have amazing top of the line equipment not to mention some pretty talented professionals teaching. Although there is still a slim window open for another possibility I am entertaining, I am feeling really good about this decision. Extremely excited! As cheesy as it sounds, I’m on my way to living a dream. The only issue now is finding some type of part-time employment that will work with my five studio class schedule (yes I understand that even taking three studio classes is borderline loony). So if you have any suggestions I would love to hear them. I may have to take up a Support Adrian's Photo Passion Foundation, SAPPF for short. Hey!! Actually, that’s a great idea! ;) Any interested parties please feel free to contact me for mailing instructions. Paypal or personal checks accepted...
p.s. above are some old cross processed color negative scans. I am so happy to have darkroom access again!! Time to dust off the holga and lomo cameras!
