Baby Jensen

Within the space of two days I had four friends welcome sweet babies into their families. Although I am not much of a family and newborn photographer, I was honored to photograph both baby Hazel and baby Jensen. Both of their mothers are wonderful photographers and although they will surely capture hundreds of photographs of their babes, as I photographer and mother I understand how precious it is to have photographs of you with your children.

Jessica is a childhood friend and I am so thankful that we have stayed connected over the years. It is so fun to see her cute family grow and I have been lucky enough to take photos of each of her children at only a few days old.

Baby Hazel

This tiny girl decided she couldn't wait any longer to be with her family and was born a month early! Originally weighing in at 5 lbs 10 oz,  she is so sweet and perfect. Her mother, Anna is one of my good friends and I was honored to photograph the family only a few days after baby Hazel's birth.

 

Josh & Stephanie Engaged

In just over a week this wonderful couple will be married!! Long time readers to my blog might recognize Stephanie as my old roommate and dear, dear friend. As you might imagine, I am over the moon happy for her and her upcoming marriage.

Being the classy individual that she is, Stephanie suggested we shoot their engagement photos at the Utah State Capital building. We had a great time together and it was fun to see Stephanie and Josh interact. They are so in love and so well suited for each other. I can't wait to witness their wedding ceremony and photograph the big day.

The Wordsmith

 
The following images were a fun collaboration with my friend Elissa, who is applying for a copywriter position. Rather than just turn in a traditional resume, Elissa wanted to make herself stand out and came up with the idea to do an Entertainment Weekly feature on herself. We played up the idea of a wordsmith and tried to create a blacksmith type environment where Elissa could forge her text. In only two days time, we were able to dream and gather up the props needed to pull this shoot off.
